Monaco is known for being the world's smallest monarchy and is ruled by the Grimaldi Dynasty since the 13th century. It is also known for being a tax haven. That 1,9km2 independent sovereign state with 300 sunny days a year is located between the foot of the Southern Alps and the Mediterranean, only 12 km from Italy borders.
