ZERMATT
Swiss village of Zermatt beats all when it comes to style: it is elegant, suave and classy, thanks to the architecture, the no-cars policy and the range of bars in the resort. It is a real pleasure to sit and drink champagne on one of the sun terraces gazing up at the Matterhorn. Despite all the distractions, it offers some really challenging skiing if you’re an intermediate to good skier. Zermatt is known for being a mecca for hard-core alpinists, whether they be powder hounds, climbers or hikers and the majestic Matterhorn offers glacier skiing 365 days a year. On other hand, it is said that Zermatt is not very beginner-friendly but it is not true, not all of the runs are suited to intermediates only as the slopes on the Kleine Matterhorn are ideal and safe, even for children.
