Elegance in the Heart of Rome

Residenza Alexia is superbly located on Rome’s legendary Via Condotti. This is the city’s most trendy and chic shopping district, lined with such staples as Valentino, Bulgari, Armani, Gucci and Ferragamo. However, if history better catches your interest, Piazza di Spagna is just a few steps away, as are many of Rome’s most appreciated and celebrated historical sights. These include Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona, and Campo di Fiori. In addition, Rome’s most sought after restaurant district and other visitor favourites are also within easy walking distance. La Suite is one of the most luxurious and unique places to stay in Rome. It is pleasantly situated in Palazzo Ruspoli, which was built for a wealthy Florentine family by Bartolomeo Ammannati in the second half of the 16th century. Later, it was acquired by the Ruspoli family, who still reside in it today. From its inception, this palatial residence has been a place of hospitality, hosting ambassadors and used as a meeting place for Europe’s high society, a place “to see and be seen”. Careful restoration and renovations have returned the apartment to its original splendour, offering guests the best of a classical Roman Palazzo, but with all modern conveniences. During restorations as recently as the past few years, even have been carefully cleaned and restored. La Suite consists of three magnificent rooms (about 200 sq.m. or 2,160 Sq. ft. each), adorned with original antique furnishings, massive oil paintings, XVI century tapestries, parquets floors, and even hand-stencilled walls. The apartment is accessed through massive wooden doors and an elegant arcade of Doric columns. A grand, marble, 16th century staircase, lined with antique marble busts of past Roman Emperors, leads up to the entrance.

Residence Alexia is accessible through the Green Reception Room. Here, the walls are beautifully adorned with oil paintings from the XVI century, illustrating the most picturesque corners in and around Rome. Elegantly furnished with an antique sofa, table, chairs, the room also features a large fireplace. The Green Reception Room is where breakfast is served daily, on Bulgari Silver. Between the Green Reception Room and master bedroom lies the intimate living area named the Yellow Room. The Yellow Room is comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs, fully equipped with a large satellite plasma Television, ideal for relaxing after a day in the city. At the end of the day (or in the middle of the day), enjoy the large canopied bed in the master bedroom, draped in illustrious silks and other fabrics (bed 1.80 x 1.80 meters). One of the six huge oil paintings in the bedroom forms the the bed’s headboard, while another painting opens to reveal an exquisite marble bathroom. The Residenza also features another large bathroom, kitchenette, and powder room.
