Villa and Farm House in Chianti
Ah, Chianti. Chianti is just that, a breath of fresh air. This is the area in which Chianti Classico wine has been produced for centuries. This is part of Tuscany where the land, itself, is one of ancient traditions. Chianti was first civilized by the virtually prehistoric Etruscans, who left history-changing traces of their viticulture. Then, of course, the Romans. The characteristics of the climate, terrain and altitudes, which are unfavorable for most crops, have made Chianti Classico a region that excels in the production of premium wine. Chianti’s border to the north are the suburbs of Florence. Then, to the east, the Chianti Mountains. Siena is to the south, the area traversed by the Superhighway of the Palio, and finally, to the west, the valleys and rivers of the Pesa and Elsa.
Traditional, contemporary. This stunning estate (in totality, a mix of traditional and contemporary styles), is composed of seven independent Tuscan farm houses and two large farm houses. Within the two large farm houses are seven luxury suites. Both the houses and suites feature gourmet kitchens, private baths, air-conditioning, sub-floor heating, flat-screen Televisions, and much more. Each structure has outdoor patio areas, designed for alfresco dining, some covered or having pergolas. Some others even have outdoor, heated Jacuzzis. The farmhouses and suites have been carefully restored to capture the traditional feeling of a simple, Tuscan country house. Yet, close attention is paid to providing the luxury and comfort demanded by its sophisticated guests. The estate has an exclusive partnership with one of the world’s leading producers of natural spa products, Ligne St. Barth. Coming from one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, Ligne St. Barth has adapted their own private spa products to perfectly suit their application amidst the natural beauty of the Chianti Hills. They combine their own ancient knowledge of plants and herbs acquired from the Caribbean’s Arawak Indians with ancient traditions of the Tuscan women around the property. For generations, these Tuscan women have preserved the secrets of recipes and remedies based on local, Tuscan herbs and plants. Also on premises, is a private Art Gallery, where guest and visitors can admire artistic expression of various origin and creative form. These works speak for the culture and history of enchanting Chianti. Art hangs in Chianti’s air, carried and enriched by the wind that brings evocative echoes from the art cities of Siena, Arezzo and Florence. The aromatic gardens surrounding the seven villas have been traditionally planted to stimulate senses of guests who walk among their herbs and plants, naturally found in the Tuscan countryside
